Targem Translations was founded in 1948 by Imre Holczler, a man with a vision for improving the lives of his fellow immigrants by providing professional translation services that were easily accessible and affordable. Without the benefits of the internet, email or even a fax machine, Holczler relied on his own multilingual capabilities and the talent of local residents to translate his clients' documents. Technological breakthroughs have since changed the way we work, but our commitment to quality, integrity and outstanding service has remained unchanged for more than fifty years.

Our location in Brooklyn, New York, a melting pot of cultures, languages and ethnicities, enables us to use in-house project managers who are fluently bilingual and share a love of languages and a passion for providing only the highest quality translations. Furthermore, our location amidst these diverse cultures constantly reminds us that translations need not just be accurate but also culturally sensitive and appropriate for use within the intended target audience.
