We found this photograph
of Targem's Hooper Street storefront at the Brooklyn Public
Library's collection of historic Brooklyn memorabilia.
The signs on the window and attached to the doorway are written
in English, Hebrew, Yiddish and Hungarian. The date on the
reverse - May 1965 - was apparently stamped by renowned Brooklyn
photographer Irving. I. Herzberg.
This photograph is part of the Irving I. Herzberg Williamsburg
Photograph Collection, a series of historic Brooklyn photographs
available through the Brooklyn Collection at the Brooklyn
Public Library.

Holczler only outsourced projects to linguists
whom he personally knew and trusted to provide accurate, flawless
translations. Although he usually had a secretary transcribe
the translations he dictated, he spent his own valuable time
typing translations whenever clients requested that their
complete privacy be maintained.
Although Imre Holczler no longer graces our planet, his legacy
lives on in our commitment to quality, integrity and outstanding
service. Targem has grown into a multi-faceted language company
serving the global marketplace, but every one of our clients
still receives the same level of personal service and individual
attention that the Holczler family provided almost sixty years
ago.
